The Vanhunks BamBam is the perfect starter board for aspiring surfers of all ages. Available in three sizes, 6ft, 7ft, and 8ft, the BamBam soft surfboards have been built to take a beating with the rolled polyethene bumpers we’ve run around the edges of the board to keep you or your child safe while learning to surf. BamBam’s bumper means a softer feel with more forgiving falls, less bruising, and more impact protection. The rail of the BamBam is specifically designed to give you the best rail possible on a Soft Surfboard.

Softer, rounder edges make more sense when you’re out in learning conditions, where wiping out happens often. BamBam’s bumper makes it safer for others in the water around you. In the event of a crash or if your board goes flying across the water after you come off of it, these soft surfboards’ bumpers decrease the risk of injury to others while also enhancing shock absorption and buoyancy for you.

Designed for easy learning the art of Surfing, the Vanhunks BamBam soft surfboards are lightweight, stable, and steady. The BamBam is constructed from an expanded polystyrene (EPS) blank foam core. The foam core reinforced for strength and integrity with triple 8mm plywood stringers. The squash tail makes the board very responsive and easy looser turns. The shape allows for more width, which increases the surface area in the tail. More surface area means more lift, or easier to plane and maintain speed. The BamBam’s thruster fin setup improves grip and manoeuvrability. We anticipate you’re going to be acing small to medium waves with these soft surfboards in no time.

We’ve stuck with what works in our newest soft surfboards, with the cross-linked Polyethylene (XPE) material sealing the top, giving the BamBam soft surfboards the same look and feel like our original soft surfboards. XPE offers a closed cellular structure, making it an excellent waterproofing solution. XPE also gives the board more durability and the rider more traction. Surf with or without wax.

We’ve upgraded the fin system of all our soft surfboards. Previously, we saw bolt-thru fins, and now all our boards offer FCS finboxes, which means your fins are easy to install with the accompanying fin key. The soft FCS fins improve the drive, hold, and turn control immensely, and we thought these were important factors to take into account when learning to surf. As you progress, you can trade-in your soft fins for some Expoxy FCS fins, as the FCS1 fins are fully compatible with your BamBam.

At the bottom of the board is High-Density Polyethylene slick, all the better for making our BamBam even more robust than it already is. All layers of these soft surfboards are put together and sealed in a high-pressure process to reaffirm strength and waterproofing further. As part of the process to improve the strength of the board.
