A natural, locally mined, filter media (0.8-1.4mm particle size) for efficient, cost effective particulate filtration down to 5 micron. This high purity unmodified natural zeolite achieves superior filtration at higher service flow rates compared to conventional filter sand and multi-media.
Use Zeolite in standard media pressure filters or in refillable cartridges as a substitute for imported, single use polypropylene filter cartridges. Refillable Big Blue 20x4.5inch and 10x4.5inch Cartridges sold separately. One 10kg bucket of Zeolite refill 3-4 20inch cartridges and 6-8 10inch cartridges. The cartridges can also be setup for backwashing or the media manually washed for reuse for further savings.
The media's rough and microporous structure creates a surface area over 100 times greater than silica sand resulting in a much more efficient reduction in suspended solids and turbidity via mechanical straining as well as physical and electrostatic adsorption, coagulation and ion-exchange phenomena.
