The 1550WNBK Diecast Aluminium Enclosure is a robust, high-quality housing designed to protect electronic instruments in harsh environments. Constructed from rugged yet easily machinable diecast aluminum alloy, this enclosure provides excellent durability, water resistance, and a professional finish suitable for industrial and outdoor applications.

It is available in a natural vibra finish or a textured black polyester powder coat. The unpainted version has a smooth, sharp-edge-free surface, while the painted version maintains a long-lasting satin finish even after machining. Black screws are included to enhance the assembled appearance.

Featuring lap joint construction, the enclosure resists dust and splashing water and can achieve IP66 protection with the included water-tight EVA gasket. Optional IP67 upgraded gaskets are also available for enhanced water resistance. The enclosure does not provide EMI/RFI shielding when gaskets are installed. Four M3.5 x 0.6 x 12 mm stainless steel Philips head screws secure the lid into factory-tapped holes, ensuring reliable closure.

The interior is free of ribs for easy installation of connectors or components without interference. The low side wall draft angle (2 or less) allows simple PCB mounting, and the lid adds 4 mm (0.16") to the overall enclosure depth.
