The Hammond 1553BBKBAT is a compact handheld ABS enclosure with a soft overmolded grip for comfortable use. Designed for portable electronics, it includes a recessed top cover for membrane keypads or displays and molded-in PCB standoffs for secure mounting.
This version features a built-in battery door and compartment, supporting 2 × AA batteries and 1 × 9V (PP3) battery with included clips. A removable front panel (on all but the smallest sizes) makes customization simple. Assembly hardware is included.
Gray 1553 series enclosures are supplied with nickel-plated screws, while all other colors use black screws. PCB mounting screws are not included and can be ordered separately (1593ATS50 or 1593ATS100). Versions without a battery compartment are rated to IP54.
