Our 5W 500-lumen LED light bulb is equipped with a 260mA rechargeable battery that allows the device to switch on automatically when there is a power outage.
These bulbs keep bright for 4 hours when there is a power outage. The light bulb has a built-in sensor to determine the state of the switch and will automatically stay on if there is load shedding or a power outage.
It has a 260mA battery and when it is fully charged can burn brightly for up to 4 hours. It needs a 6-hour charging time to restore it to its full brightness. When using the light bulb for the first few times it may flash or flicker. It is not faulty. The battery is building up storage memory. Please use it and recharge the battery at least 3 or 4 times for the first 2 - 3 days. The bulb works best when used alone in one fitting, with one switch to control it. Having multiple bulbs/fittings on one switch will reduce the efficacy of the bulb.

Operating instructions:
- The bulb can be used as a normal household bulb and once it is installed it can be turned on/off using the light switch
- The internal Li-ion battery will be charged whenever the light is set to ON.
- During a power failure or load shedding the bulb will operate as an emergency light and stay lit, as long as the light switch is in the 'ON' mode.
