The device is mounted inside the barrel of the firearm and projects a laser beam from the center of the barrel axis. This enables precise barrel calibration of sights, iron sights, or laser sights on pistols and rifles.
Using the laser calibrator: first, install the screws into the adapters (longer screws into the two larger adapters, shorter screws into the two smaller adapters). Ensure the firearm is unloaded before proceeding! Select the adapter that matches the firearm's caliber and screw it onto the back of the laser bore calibrator. The adapter will expand when screwed onto the laser bore calibrator.
Adjust the adapter to fit slightly against the barrel, then slide it into the large conical hole on the laser bore calibrator. It is now aligned with the center of the bore axis. The laser rangefinder of the calibrator travels in a straight line, while the bullet travels along a trajectory.
Even though this device allows you to get very close to the target, the final adjustments should still be made at the firing range, for firearms with scopes: if you are using a scope for rangefinding at a distance of 50 to 100 yards (indoor shooting range, outdoor shooting in soft light, such as evening or early morning), there is no need to compensate for scope and barrel offsets; simply adjust the crosshairs to align with the laser point.
For shorter distances, such as 25-50 feet, compensation is needed by measuring the approximate distance from the barrel center to the aiming point.
Operating the laser gun barrel calibration tool: avoid direct eye exposure to the beam. The device is equipped with three ag13 (also known as #76.lr, lr-44, etc.) Batteries.
