Groot Phesantekraal Cape Francolin Red Blend
The Cape Francolin is also known as the Cape spurfowl and is endemic to the Western Cape of South Africa. The Afrikaans name is Phesant and that is where the original farm got its name from. They honour this bird with its own wine today.
Predominantly Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon focussed, this wine has crunchy tannins with red fruit on the aroma together with sweet spice such as vanilla and fennel. On the pallet a blueberry-like sweetness finishes the wine.

Zandvliet Pocket Power Red Blend
Pocket Power was a legendary South African Thoroughbred racehorse best known for his record-setting and crowd-captivating career on the racetrack. Foaled in 2002. Trained by Mike Bass on the Zandvliet Esatate, he became one of the most successful and beloved horses in the country's racing history.After retiring in 2011 with over R10 million in earnings, he embarked on a second career in showjumping and lived out his days at a stable in Constantia, where visitors still came to see him. He passed away in 2021, just a day before his 19th birthday, leaving behind a rich legacy as one of South Africa's all-time great racehorses.
Blend of Shiraz, Grenache, Carignan and Mourvedre.
Sophisticated nose of cherries, perfume, violets with hints of nutmeg and pepper is harmoniously balanced on a supple and layered palate with a rich and lingering aftertaste.
