The shape of these hem feet rolled in makes folding the hem really easy and they really grip the fabric well so when we're hemming some thicker fabric or some more normal hems it's not difficult to keep it aligned , we have half inch, 3/4 inch and 1 inch wide hem feet instead of narrow hem feet, for example if you want to hem a cotton skirt you can choose a half inch hem foot. If you want to confirm if your sewing machine is a low-shank machine, locate the thumbscrews that secure the feet to the machine. Measure the distance from the center of the screw to the base plate. If the size is 1/2 inch, you have a low shank machine.
