This mugwort steam eye mask combines the benefits of "warm compress" with the traditional Chinese medicine properties of mugwort, making it a popular choice for modern people to relieve eye strain and improve sleep.
Core Operating Principle
1. Heating Mechanism: The eye mask contains iron powder and moisture. Upon opening the packaging and exposing it to air, an oxidation reaction occurs, generating heat.
2. Steam Release: The heat evaporates the moisture in the heating element, producing approximately 40 C warm steam, which helps dilate blood vessels around the eyes and relax the ciliary muscles.
3. Traditional Chinese Medicine Assistance: The heat releases the volatile components of mugwort, enhancing its blood-activating and meridian-clearing effects, while the aroma provides a calming and stress-relieving effect.
Main Benefits and Effects
1. Relieves Fatigue: Effectively reduces the soreness and heaviness caused by prolonged screen time.
2. Improves Dry Eyes and Swelling: The warmth promotes meibomian gland secretion, relieving dryness and accelerating local blood circulation to reduce mild swelling.
3. Improves Sleep Quality: The aroma of mugwort helps relax the nerves, making it suitable for use before bed, during a nap, or while traveling.
Contraindications and Safety
A. Time Control: It is recommended to use for 15-20 minutes each time. Overnight use is not recommended to avoid low-temperature burns or increased intraocular pressure.
B. Eye Conditions: Discontinue use if there are wounds or inflammation around the eyes, or if you have recently undergone eye surgery.
C. Contact Lenses: Please remove contact lenses before use to prevent high temperatures from damaging the lenses or affecting oxygen permeability.
D. Allergy Test: Individuals with extremely sensitive skin or allergies to mugwort components should perform a local test or consult a physician.
Please Note: Pregnant women and children under 12 years of age are prohibited from using mugwort steam eye masks.
