WHAT IS MATCHA?
Matcha is a finely ground powder from shade-grown Camellia sinensis green tea leaves, rich in antioxidants like EGCG and L-theanine. Providing sustained energy and focus, matcha is added to teas, lattes, smoothies, and baked goods for a nutrient-rich boost. Matcha naturally contains a moderate amount of caffeine.
EXPLAIN MATCHA GRADES?
Ceremonial Grade:
This is the highest possible quality, made from the youngest, shade-grown leaves, resulting in a vibrant green colour, delicate flavour, and high nutrient content, ideal for traditional tea ceremonies. If authentic, it's universally extremely expensive.
AAA Grade:
Premium Grade Matcha, often considered comparible, or a small step below ceremonial, made from first harvest, shade grown, hand-picked leaves, offering a rich and smooth flavour with excellent nutritional value.
AA Grade:
A blend of first and second harvest leaves, with a more robust flavour, suitable for lattes, smoothies, and recipes.
A Grade (Culinary Grade):
A lower grade, often used for baking, smoothies, or as a base for matcha drinks, offering a bolder, less nuanced flavour compared to higher grades.

Preparation:
-For Matcha Tea: Add 2g (1 tsp) of matcha to 100ml of hot water (not boiling)
-For Matcha Latte: Add 2g matcha to 100ml hot water and 150ml hot milk
