The Astrum CL520 delivers a stable 19V DC at 4.74A (90W), while providing comprehensive electrical protection, an earthed 3-pin Clover inlet, and a UL94 V-0 flame-retardant housing for dependable everyday charging.

Check Compatibility First

The CL520 is designed as a replacement charger for HP laptops requiring 19V DC at 4.74A with a 7.4 × 5.0mm barrel connector featuring a centre pin. Before purchasing, check the specifications printed on your original charger or on the label underneath your laptop. Both the voltage and connector size must match. If either specification differs, this charger is not compatible with your device.

Four-Way Electrical Protection

An intelligent protection IC continuously regulates the output and protects your laptop against Over-Voltage Protection (OVP), Over-Current Protection (OCP), Short-Circuit Protection (SCP), and Over-Temperature Protection (OTP). These safeguards operate automatically whenever the charger is connected.

Earthed 3-Pin Clover Inlet

Unlike many laptop chargers that use a 2-pin Figure-8 power connection, the CL520 uses a 3-pin Clover (IEC C5) inlet with a dedicated earth connection. An earthed charger provides a proper fault path, helps reduce leakage current, and minimises the slight tingling sensation sometimes experienced on metal laptop chassis when using unearthed power supplies.

UL94 V-0 Flame-Retardant Housing

The charger housing is manufactured from UL94 V-0 rated ABS material, one of the highest flame-retardant standards for electronic enclosures. If exposed to flame, the material self-extinguishes quickly and does not produce flaming drips, providing an additional level of safety.

3750V Isolation Testing

The internal insulation barrier between the mains input and low-voltage output is hi-pot tested to withstand 3750V, helping ensure safe electrical isolation between the wall supply and your laptop.
