The Canon MC-20 maintenance cartridge is a replacement for the maintenance cartridge that came with your PRO-1000 Professional Inkjet Printer.
This maintenance cartridge serves as a replacement for the original maintenance cartridge. The maintenance cartridge is used to restore your printer settings to perfect condition, should you notice a decrease in the quality of text or images printed consumable that is required for waste ink and necessary for cleaning of the printer.
In case of cautions or issues concerning the maintenance cartridge, an error message will appear on the LCD screen. Take appropriate action as prompted by the message. If the displayed message indicates that the maintenance cartridge is nearly full, promptly obtain a spare. When the maintenance cartridge becomes full, the printer stops working until it is replaced.
