The 2017 vintage in the Champagne region was characterised by juicy and structured Pinots and full, rich and vibrant Chardonnays. A blend of 54% Chardonnay, 32% Pinot Noir, and 14% Pinot Meunier and a dosage of 8g/L. The richness from the Chardonnay compliments the structure and freshness of the Pinots; an ultra-delicate mousse gives way to a velvety mouth feel and a balanced finish that lingers between sips.
The wine's exceptional quality is attributed primarily to the careful use of selected Premier and Grand Cru vineyards dedicated only to Champagne Victoire Gold Vintage 2017. The Maisons expertly blend the wine in the cellar before the second fermentation in the bottle. The wine is then aged for a minimum of 36 months on the lees before disgorgement.
