Chivas
12 Year Old Whisky was the first of the Chivas family to be released
post-prohibition and remains our signature blend today. The bottle’s rounded
shape and elevated shoulders reflect the generosity of the blend and pride as
a leading Scotch whisky.
Chivas Regal traces its roots back to 1801 when both brothers established
an upscale grocery store in the Scottish town of Aberdeen. In addition to
selling high-end food, coffee, and spices, the store offered French brandies
and Caribbean rums to its wealthy clientele. While widely considered the
finest purveyors in all of Scotland, the Chivas Brothers were officially
granted a royal warrant to provide goods to Queen Victoria in 1843.
Chivas rich taste notes present a round and creamy taste with a rich taste
of honey and ripe pears, while taking in hints of vanilla, hazelnut and
butterscotch. On the nose, Chivas 12 embodies an aromatic infusion of wild
herbs, heather, honey, and orchard fruits with various casks to mature the 12
year old scotch whiskies.
As an incredibly smooth blended Scotch whisky, Chivas 12 can be enjoyed in
a number of ways. Neat or on the rocks, in a strong or fruity cocktail, it’s
your choice. However, there’s nothing more refreshing than a classic Whisky
Highball with crisp soda water and plenty of ice. |
