Audio Converter Overview
This multifunction DAC audio converter is designed for HDMI ARC, optical Toslink and coaxial audio sources. It can be used as a digital to analogue audio converter, an HDMI ARC audio adapter, and a digital coaxial to optical Toslink bi-directional converter. It supports optical Toslink, coaxial, stereo R/L RCA and 3.5mm jack outputs at the same time, making it useful for connecting TVs and other audio sources to a wider range of sound systems.
Inputs and Outputs
The converter includes three input options: HDMI ARC, optical Toslink and coaxial. Input selection is controlled with the ATC switch, with ARC set to A, Toslink set to T and coaxial set to C. All three input modes support four audio signal outputs, giving you flexible connection options for both digital and analogue audio setups.
Audio Support and Performance
This 192KHz audio converter supports sampling rates of 32, 44.1, 48, 96 and 192 KHz, with 24-bit SPDIF incoming bit stream on the left and right channels. Optical and coaxial outputs support DTS, Dolby AC3, DSD and LPCM formats, while the RCA and 3.5mm outputs provide LPCM 2.0 stereo output. This makes it suitable for users who need reliable digital and analogue audio conversion from compatible devices.
Setup Notes
Installation is straightforward: connect the required cables and power on. If you are using a TV as the signal source, the TV audio format must be set to PCM. The converter does not have a built-in CEC protocol, so volume cannot be adjusted directly with the TV remote. Please use an HDMI 1.4 cable (19+1). This converter does not support reverse use such as analogue to digital conversion.
Built-In Convenience
The power-off memory function retains the last input mode used, so you do not need to reset it each time. It also includes built-in overvoltage protection to help prevent damage caused by incompatible power adapters.
