EPIFLOW Tape positively impacts muscle, joint, and ligament injuries associated with pain, overuse, inflammation, swelling, and instability. It can be used both preventively and therapeutically, particularly for sports injuries. The tape features an easy-to-shape longitudinal activation tab that facilitates manual mobilization of the skin and deeper tissues, allowing for a broader range of applications, including support in scar treatment and local lymphatic drainage.
Application on Scar Tissue:
Medical professionals, including doctors and physiotherapists, report highly positive results when using EPIFLOW Tape on scars. Regular application on healed scars can help loosen scar tissue and improve blood circulation in the area. Patients have noted significant improvements in sensation and visible enhancements in the scar's texture.
With guidance from a specialist, patients can apply the tape themselves, which encourages active participation in their therapy and boosts motivation.
Uses of Epiflow Tape:
Epiflow Tape is employed in physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and competitive sports to enhance muscle function, regulate muscle tension, reduce pain, and address various orthopedic and non-orthopedic issues. It also serves as a supportive aid for scar treatment and local lymphatic drainage.
Correct Application Method:
Protective Strip:
Remove only the middle protective strip from the back of the tape.
Creating the Activation Tab:
Fold the EPIFLOW kinesiology tape lengthwise. The removed protective strip in the center will allow this part to stick together.
Preparing the Corner:
For optimal adhesion, we recommend cutting the corners straight. Rounding them off, as required in traditional kinesiology applications, is not necessary.
Applying the Tape:
Remove the two remaining protective strips from the EPIFLOW Kinesiology Tape and apply it without tension. The required tension will be created later during treatment.
Movement and Activation:
Grasp the activation tab of the applied EPIFLOW Kinesiology Tape with your thumb, index, and middle fingers at the point where you want to activate the tissue. Pull the tape away from your body until you create a certain tension. Maintain this tension and circle the tape five times clockwise, then five times counterclockwise. Repeat this process at multiple points along the tape. We recommend performing this routine three times.
