FlameBlock Lithium Black is a uniquely formulated fire extinguishing agent, that was specifically developed to extinguish Lithium-Ion Battery fires.
Made of a specific formulation of minerals and salts.
How does it work? It does the following to a Lithium-Ion Battery:
- Extinguish the fire
- Bring the temperature down to 80 degrees Celsius
- Keeps on cooling the battery
- Interferes with the chemical reaction of the battery
- Cover the battery to prevent gasses from escaping
- Discharge the battery to prevent re-ignition later
Note:
- This product is suitable for camping trailers and caravans, with 12V and 24V Lithium battery packs
- This sachet is placed on top of the battery (recommended one sachet per 100Ah) gets secured in place on the battery.
- In the event of thermal runaway, the the plastic of the bag is calibrated to rupture at 100 degrees Celsius, and the gel will be released over the battery.
- The battery MUST be in a battery box that can contain the gel around the battery
