The Juggle Dream Neo is a super bright UV-active version of the Picasso flower stick. The dimensions and weight are identical to the Picasso. Low it’s just lumo coloured. The fibreglass central shaft and hand sticks (supplied) are covered with a UV-reactive, super grippy silicone tubing that glows brightly while exposed to direct ultraviolet light. This material will also react to the UV in normal spectrum light and will glow brightly at dusk (think high vis jackets).
Just as with the Picasso stick, the weight of the faux suede flowers gives the right amount of drag to create a very responsive stick. At 41.5cm long (65cm including tassels) the Neo is short enough to allow advanced body moves (arm curls, fishtails, behind-the-back helicopter e.t.c) without making it too fast for beginners.
Most flower sticks (AKA rhythm sticks, juggling sticks, devil sticks) that you find in South Africa are made with wooden dowels and inner-tube rubber for the grip and tassels. With the application of purpose-designed materials, we can see how physics can be manipulated to create a smooth playing prop.
