This is a rare find and anyone can have fun with this flute.
It is played vertically but blown horizontally across the open inner edges of the bamboo pipes. The air blown through the instrument creates a series of pulses that generate sound waves within the tubes. Each pipe is tuned to a different note for producing a wide range of sounds.
The bamboo flute, especially the bone flute, is one of the oldest musical instruments known.
Hold the flute so it is parallel to the ground.
Position the flute so that the finger holes extend out to your right.
Place your left hand on the outside so your fingers curl inward.
Put your right hand on the inside so your fingers extend outward.
Stand straight with your shoulders held back to allow the best airflow.
Blow.
