Alu-Stik is a butyl base product that has an aluminum backing. Alu-Stik is used corrugated and IBR sheeting, flashing, gutters, skylights and ducting. Alu-Stik gives a permanent waterproofing and dust seal the aluminum foil allows for a great aesthetic appearance, as well as added protection.
Butyl backing allows Alu-Stik to adhere to plastic, metal and other porous surfaces.
It does not adhere to silicone surfaces or surfaces coated with a petroleum-based product.
