- 3-ply special Steel - The blade material consists of a central core material of substantial hardness to keep an extremely hard edge, being surrounded by layers of softer, corrosion-resistant stainless steel
- The outer edges of the blade are made from the same steel as the handles making the forge between blade and handle even stronger
- Hammered Blade finish - The special individually hammered finish not only looks stylish but also is designed so that the small hollows create air pockets between chopped food assisting and allowing food
- Pass across the blade without sticking
