The Honey Badger Medium Wharncleaver is a no-nonsense, everyday carry folder that punches well above its price. Designed and tested in South Africa, it delivers practical utility in a lightweight, slim package that disappears in your pocket yet feels solid in hand. With its signature Wharncleaver blade, grippy honeycomb FRN scales, and buttery-smooth flipper action, this knife is a favorite for EDC users, first responders, box cutters, and anyone who wants a safe, reliable slicer without the bulk.
The standout feature is the 3.19" (81 mm) Wharncleaver blade-also known as a sheepsfoot. It combines a straight cutting edge with a rounded, blunt tip that dramatically reduces the chance of accidental punctures. Perfect for:
Opening boxes and packages
Food prep
Emergency tasks
General utility work
Made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with a satin finish and flat grind, it holds a respectable edge, resists corrosion, and sharpens easily. At 0.118" (3 mm) thick, it's stout enough for everyday abuse without feeling heavy. The jimped flipper tab and thumb hole make deployment lightning-fast from either side.
The black FRN (Fiber Reinforced Nylon) scales feature a hexagonal honeycomb texture that provides multi-directional grip-wet, dry, or gloved, your hand stays locked in place. The ergonomic shape, jimped choils, and contoured spine make it comfortable for extended use while keeping the overall weight down to just 2.9 oz (82 g).
Liner lock for rock-solid security
Ambidextrous deep-carry pocket clip (tip-up, left or right hand)
Lanyard hole for added versatility
Roller bearings in the pivot for that addictive, smooth flip.
It's light enough for all-day carry, tough enough for real work, and the blunt-tip Wharncleaver shape makes it one of the safest utility blades on the market.
Whether you're a daily commuter, outdoor enthusiast, or just need a dependable box opener that won't scare your coworkers, the Honey Badger Medium Wharncleaver is hard to beat. Clean lines, confident action, and that unmistakable honeycomb grip-pure Honey Badger DNA.
