The engine air filter cleans the air entering the engine for combustion, protecting it from dirt and debris. A clean air filter is essential for optimal performance and fuel efficiency.
For a standard paper-media engine air filter, it is generally recommended to replace it every 30,000 miles (approximately 50,000 km), or about once a year. The cabin air filter should be changed more frequently, every 15,000 to 20,000 miles. If you drive in dusty or polluted areas, you should replace both filters more often.
