JV Leatherman Wave pouch with belt clip. The outside is made from saddle leather. It is made by applying wax to full-grain leather after being smoothed out. The wax enhances the leather fibers, and, when they are scratched or rubbed, the leather's natural color changes its shade, giving it an antique, vintage appearance. The entire product is handmade even the stitching is done by hand in a saddle stitch.
This method requires extra time but provides durability. As well as using thicker thread this method of stitching is used in making saddles for its durability. The edges are painted and then sanded down repeatedly to get a silky smooth painted edge.
