Premium Volcanic Rock. This lightweight stone can range from dark black to reddish-brown colouration. The porosity makes it suitable for use as aquarium filtration as the tiny holes provide surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize. Also great for gas braais. Lava rocks is long lasting and does not actually burn away like charcoal. It glows like charcoal and by vaporizing drips, gives the food the unmistakable chargrilled taste.
