This three-stage filtration setup is built into your fridge's water feed line and includes: Installed first, this filter removes visible particles such as rust, sand, dirt, and large debris. By eliminating these coarse contaminants first, it protects filters in the following stages and your refrigerator's internal water/ice pathway. Stage 2: Water/Ice Dispensing Cartridge. The second stage features a dedicated ADQ73693903 Original fridge filter cartridge to improve taste and odour, reduce residual chlorine and fine sediment, and safeguard your fridge's dispenser and ice production system. Stage 3: Hollow-Fibre Ultrafiltration (UF) Membrane. The final stage uses a hollow-fibre UF membrane rated to approx. 0.2 m and capable of flow rates of up to ~540 L/hour. This membrane removes ultra-fine particles and bacteria, while keeping beneficial minerals intact - making your fridge water safer, cleaner, and clearer. Also, please note the UF Membrane does require flushing before use. Attach the filter system to the source water and let the water run through into a bucket until there is no more residue flowing. If there is still some residue after connecting to your fridge, please repeat the process. Together, these three filters form a compact yet effective inline chain: coarse pre-filtration, taste/odour enhancement, and precision ultrafiltration. The outcome? Better-tasting water and ice, longer filter life, and enhanced protection for your refrigerator's internal water system. Installation is straightforward: All 3 filters come pre-attached. All filters are quick-type fittings, making installation quick and painless. Make sure to connect the source water supply pipe to the sediment cartridge (1st stage).
