Love My Hair henna is certified organic and Halal and is endorsed by Beauty Without Cruelty and Vegan SA. It is a pure plant powder and does not contain any metallic salts, picramic acid or any other chemical additives.
It is of the highest quality and originates from the Rajasthan area of India.
It is triple-sifted and thus of a very fine texture making it perfect for body art.

Henna powder comes from the dried and crushed leaves of the shrub Lawsonia inermis. It has been used for centuries for body art and to dye and condition the hair.
Henna helps to seal the hair cuticle, thus preventing breakage and increasing shine. It also helps to prevent hair loss and assists in clearing up dandruff and other scalp and skin ailments.
Pure henna is an orange/red dye only. Pure henna does not come in different shades. It cannot lighten hair, so black hair will develop some red highlights in sunlight, blond or grey hair will go orange/red and brown hair will go deep auburn.
Henna can be mixed with Love My Hair indigo powder to dye hair in shades of brown to black.
Medium brown: 50% henna, 50% indigo.
Dark brown: 20-30% henna, 70-80% indigo.
Black: To achieve a black colour, particularly on grey hair, it is recommended to use our pure henna and indigo in a 2-step dye process.
You can experiment with the percentages and application time to get your desired colour.
Note that these dye mixtures will not lighten your hair. For example, using 50:50 henna and indigo will not lighten black hair to a brown shade.
For body art, you can mix this henna powder with our indigo powder to get a darker colour.
