The floating globe can be used as a night light, it's great as desk accessory, good to watch when you are stressed, can get one for geographical course, too.
Use the tool that comes with the package to space out the ball and the magnet at the top of the 'C' frame, then gently pull out the tool or hold the ball with two hands, once you find the magnetic balance point you can literally place the globe into suspension without the tool.
After it hangs suspended in mid-air, push the ball a bit to make it spin and air flow can also make it spin or stop it finally.
It is operated by an electronically controlled magnetic system.
