Snakes and Ladders is a classic board game with a long history. Here's a brief rundown of how it works:
Objective: The goal is to be the first player to reach the last square on the board, typically numbered 100.
Setup: The game board consists of a grid of numbered squares. Some squares contain snakes (slithering downward) and ladders (stretching upward). Players use tokens to mark their positions on the board.
Play: Players take turns rolling a die and move their token forward by the number of squares rolled. If a player lands on a square with the bottom of a ladder, they climb up to the square at the top of the ladder. Conversely, if they land on a square with the head of a snake, they slide down to the square at the tail of the snake.
Winning: The first player to reach the final square (usually 100) wins the game.
