Product Overview
The MCP73113-06SI/MF is a single cell highly integrated Li-ion Battery Charge Management Controller with input overvoltage protection for use in space-limited and cost-sensitive applications. The MCP73113 can accept an absolute maximum of 18V input and provides a 6.5V overvoltage protection. The output current can is programmable to be between 130 and 1100mA. The MCP73113 is fully specified over the ambient temperature range of -40 to 85°C. The MCP73113 device provides specific charge algorithms for Li-ion/Li-polymer batteries to achieve optimal capacity and safety in the shortest charging time possible. This device employs a constant current/constant voltage charge algorithm. The various charging voltage regulation provides design engineers flexibility to use in different applications. The MCP73113 device limits the charge current based on die temperature during high power or high ambient conditions.
