The 105057-0001 is a 4-circuit shielded vertical Universal Serial Bus (USB) I/O type-A receptacle, with gold-plated copper alloy contacts, 3 bevelled metal pins and through hole termination. This 105057 series connector has 2.80mm solder tail length, mates with USB type-A cable, suitable for wire-to-board application. Industry standard USB connector provides connection for power and data exchange without the need for a host PC across a variety of industries. The Universal Serial Bus was developed in 1996 to integrate a variety of existing PC I/O ports into a single interface with hot-plugging, automatic configuration capabilities and increased bandwidth to enhance serial I/O throughput for a wide range of peripherals. USB products connect a variety of different peripherals to this common interface standard.
