The radiator guard protects the for BMW R 12 / R12 NineT radiator from minor and major damage caused by road debris while allowing cooling air to pass through. For BMW radiators consist of thin fins and an inner core - the fins can easily bend and block the passage of air, ultimately leading to overheating and reduced engine performance.
