Darjeeling 1st Flush is harvested in early spring when the tea bushes awaken from winter. The first flush is known for producing the most delicate and aromatic leaves of the year. The result is a light, floral infusion with fresh notes reminiscent of muscatel grapes and green almonds.
Often referred to as the "Heaven of Tea" in India, Darjeeling teas offer a refined experience marked by clarity, brightness, and a lingering sweetness. Unlike most black teas, the first flush is only lightly oxidised, creating a gentle balance between green freshness and black tea depth.
This tea is best enjoyed pure, brewed with intention and care. Its elegant expression of springtime in the Himalayas makes each cup a celebration of season, place, and craftsmanship.
Serving suggestion:
We recommend brewing black tea with water at around 95 degrees Celsius. Steep the tea for approximately 3 minutes, then taste to see if the strength suits your preference. If you desire a stronger brew, you may steep it for another minute or two. Use a teapot with an infuser for best results. If a teapot is not available, an infuser ball, infuser cup, or a fine mesh strainer will also work well. For each serving, use about 3 to 4 grams of loose leaf tea, or roughly one teaspoon. This tea may be steeped a second time; simply extend the brewing time to draw out the remaining flavour.
