Darjeeling Second Flush is harvested in the summer months when the tea leaves are more mature and sun-drenched. These teas offer a deeper and fuller character compared to the delicate spring harvest. The infusion reveals warm notes of muscatel, ripe stone fruits, and subtle spices, all held in balance by the signature brightness of Darjeeling.
Celebrated as one of India's most distinguished teas, this second flush delivers a richer, more rounded body while still preserving the crisp elevation of high mountain terroir. Each infusion unveils a different nuance, revealing the depth of craftsmanship and the rhythm of the growing season.
More assertive than the first flush, yet still refined, this tea is ideal for quiet contemplation or conversation alike. Its complexity grows with each steeping, echoing the layered terrain from which it comes.
Serving suggestion:
We recommend brewing black tea with water at around 95 degrees Celsius. Steep the tea for approximately 3 minutes, then taste to see if the strength suits your preference. If you desire a stronger brew, you may steep it for another minute or two. Use a teapot with an infuser for best results. If a teapot is not available, an infuser ball, infuser cup, or a fine mesh strainer will also work well. For each serving, use about 3 to 4 grams of loose leaf tea, or roughly one teaspoon. This tea may be steeped a second time; simply extend the brewing time to draw out the remaining flavour.
