Earl Grey is a tea with aristocratic roots, originally named after Charles Grey, the Second Earl Grey and Prime Minister of Britain in the 1800s. Traditionally made with black tea, this refined version takes on a lighter, fresher profile by using a green Sencha base instead, offering a modern yet elegant interpretation of a timeless classic.
The clean, grassy notes of Sencha green tea pair beautifully with the uplifting scent of bergamot oil, a fragrant citrus fruit from Sicily with a flavour that sits between lemon and orange. The result is a cup that is crisp and aromatic, with a lively citrus brightness that does not overpower the natural sweetness of the green tea.

It is a light yet flavourful option for those who enjoy the character of Earl Grey but prefer the gentle nature of green tea.
Serving suggestion:
We recommend brewing green tea with water at around 75 degrees Celsius. Steep the tea for approximately 2 minutes, then taste to see if the strength suits your preference. If you desire a stronger brew, you may steep it for another minute or two. Use a teapot with an infuser for best results. If a teapot is not available, an infuser ball, infuser cup, or a fine mesh strainer will also work well. For each serving, use about 3 to 4 grams of loose leaf tea, or roughly one teaspoon. This tea may be steeped a second time; simply extend the brewing time to draw out the remaining flavour.
