This highly fragrant, shrubby perennial herb grows along the Western Cape coastline - in sandy soil in stream beds, among rocks, and in open fields. It has square stems and slightly hairy green leaves, sometimes with toothed edges, and pale purple-blue and white flowers. Its distinct sage-like fragrance is a true hallmark of Cape fynbos.
FRAGRANCE
Deep, powerful, and herbaceous, with a distinctly green, sage-forward character - a more intense, aromatic take on classic sage, evoking the scent of mountain fynbos after rain. Fresh, sharp, and unmistakably wild.
