Please Note:
- Always ensure that the whole pump is fully submerged when starting up pump else it won’t work
- I won’t start pumping when dry, pump must be "primed"
- Water pumps will run out of pressure and stop working if turned off for an extended period of time, such as over the winter
- In order to get the pump working again, it needs to "primed": water needs to be flushed back into it and forced through in order for it to create enough pressure to begin pumping again
- The liquid replaces the air, gas, or vapour in the passage ways
- This maybe done manually or automatically
- Centrifugal pumps are usually filled with the liquid to be pumped before start-up of centrifugal pump
