Sceletium is a Karoo succulent plant that has been used for centuries by indigenous tribes for anxiety, as a mood enhancer, and to relieve stress. It is also used to suppress hunger and as a mild analgesic / pain reliever. This product has a very high total alkaloid content (>1.5% TA) which consists mainly of mesembrine, see also the attached chromatogram with the alkaloid profile.
It comes in a fine powder that are herbaceous and rather bitter, to be consumed with something sweet like in a smoothy.
