Care and cleaning:
1. The panels always stay cool, as they use low power to emit a soft light without any irritating glare. The panel itself is very thin–similar to ribbons or sheets of paper–but with the feel of vinyl or vellum. Our panels are weatherproof and can get wet, they cannot be completely sunk under water. It is necessary to be careful as they are easily flexible and bending them too much will damage the luminescence ability. Remove the EL panel with the power unit before washing. Always handle the panel with care as bending it will damage the luminescence. The 100% cotton T-shirt can be dry-cleaned, hand-washed or machine-washed.
2. If the inverter detaches from the panel make sure to reattach immediately with double sided tape. Do not let it hang loose as it will damage the cable. Do not use glue or any other permanent adhesive as it will interfere with the phosphorescence in the panel.
Instructions for use:
1. Charging:
For 3-4 hours of lit fun please charge the panel for 2-3 hours. Do not leave overnight to charge or during load shedding
2. Activation: It has an on/off switch on the side of the inverter behind the EL panel. There is also a sound modulator which allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the sound/vibration reception. By adjusting according to the intensity of the sound/vibration in your surroundings you can reduce power usage. There is also an activate button on the top of the panel facing outwards which allows you to deactivate the panel without having to reach under your shirt to turn it off when you want the panel lights to be off to reduce power usage. Press gently on the panel where the inverter is located and you will feel the button.
Important: Please check the Size equivalency when ordering. The T-shirts are a small cut so we would recommend going one size up if you prefer a looser fit. Please see the measurements below. The T-shirt is short, so please take this into consideration as it ends below your beltline but above the hips, approximately 58cms from neck to hem
