The Best of Daryl Hall & John Oates is a ten-track, budget-priced collection that contains a handful of big hits ("Sara Smile," "Rich Girl," "Family Man"), several minor hits ("Possession Obsession," "Why Do Lovers [Break Each Other's Heart?]," "How Does It Feel to Be Back"), and several album tracks, including "Every Time You Go Away," which Paul Young later made into a hit single. It's an interesting hodgepodge containing several items of real worth, but it should not be thought of as a substitute for the very fine Rock 'n Soul, Pt. 1, which contains the bulk of the hits on one disc. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
