Care and Maintenance:

• Dust with a soft dry brush or cloth, working around the drum mounting where it collects. Do not use water, sprays or cleaning products, since moisture swells plywood and loosens joints.
• Keep the finished model out of direct sunlight and away from damp. Both warp thin timber over time.
• Ease parts together rather than forcing them. Check orientation against the diagram before applying pressure, because thin plywood tabs snap rather than bend.
• Roll the drum gently on smooth surfaces only. Grit picked up from a rough floor scores the timber and works into the axle.
• If you plan to stain, paint or varnish, do it before assembly and let every part dry fully, or the coating will thicken the tabs and stop them seating.
