A TCA peel is a skin treatment used to treat skin discolourations, scarring, and wrinkles. These peels get their name from trichloroacetic acid (TCA), which is used to clear away dead skin cells to reveal the newer and smoother skin layers below. TCA reduces acne breakouts, improving skin texture, and discoloration caused by sun damage. TCA helps remove areas of hyperpigmentation; deeply cleaning clogged pores. TCA can be used to help lighten and remove medium to deep scars while helping pores appear smaller.
