MelaLite DCx has been found to be a potent tyrosinase and melanogenesis inhibitor. In vitro studies report an IC50 value of 3.62 g/ml and 10.19 g/ml for the anti-tyrosinase and melanogenesis inhibition of MelaLite DCx , respectively. In comparison to well-known skin-brightening ingredients such as kojic acid, the skin-brightening potential of MelaLite DCx is significantly higher, almost 10x more effective than kojic Acid. Niacinamide has been well documented to aid in skin brightening and skin hydration. Niacinamide inhibits the transfer of melanin packets to the surface of the skin cells thereby effectively assisting the reduction of darker areas. It also boosts collagen production contributing to its anti-aging potential. Hyaluronic Acid has been used extensively in the skincare industry to promote collagen and elastin production, moisturises the skin, boosts elasticity, assists with the stretching of skin resulting in anti-aging properties, reduces fine lines and wrinkles and has the potential to reduce scarring. Turmeric – as the highly absorbable extract and metabolite (Tetrahydrocurcumin) – is very effective in inhibiting the tyrosinase enzyme. This is the enzyme responsible for producing melanin/pigment. It also has anti-aging properties. Liquorice root extract inhibits tyrosinase which prevents dark spots for forming, as well as fading existing darker areas. Pterocarpus marsupium bark extract is highly effective for anti-aging, skin brightening as has natural SPF properties.

How to use:
Apply and massage generously into the body’s skin daily, or twice daily (not the face) taking care to concentrate on affected areas such as the elbows, knees and inner thigh areas.
