Remy VS Non Remy Hair VS Aligned Remy

Remy hair is hair that is shaved off a single donors Ponytail and bundled in such a manner that all the hair is kept in one direction. By doing so, the cuticles of the hair do not get roughed up and stay smooth.
Remy hair would last longer if maintained properly.
Remy hair is in short supply worldwide and is therefore a lot more expensive.
Non-Remy hair is human hair collected from many different donors, often from the floors of salons and temples. The hair cuticles are facing various directions when collected, which causes the hair to tangle and matte quite easily.
The majority of human hair sold today in South African salon is Non-Remy hair.
In order to temporarily solve the tangling problem on Non-Remy hair, many hair manufacturers use silicone coating to make the hair appear shiny, but as the hair gets washed, the silicone will gradually be removed. The hair will then start to matte.
Casablanca hair is collected from various donors and mechanically re-aligned so that all cuticles of hair are facing the same direction. It is a new and cost effective way to obtain remy hair. It will last longer than non-remy hair but not as long as remy hair collected from a single donor.

Non-experts will not be able to tell the difference by looking and touching the hair. However after 4~6 weeks of washing, Non Remy hair will lose its silicone coating and start to matte. You will then need to flat iron the hair to keep it sleek and shiny.

Colour Note:
Each batch of hair extensions will have a slight difference in colour shade, as hair from different donors react differently to the dye.
Different computer and cell phone screen displays the hair colour differently to the hairs true colour.

Very Important Maintenance Note:
Only sulphate free/keratin free shampoo should be used on hair extensions. Washing with shampoo containing sulphate or keratin will damage the extensions.
Silver/purple shampoo must be used with caution as the hair extensions and your own hair might absorb the colorant differently.
