Cudy’s CD-GSPOE40 is a 4-Port Gigabit PoE switch with a Gigabit PoE input port accepting 802.3af/at/bt PoE input.
The switch has a maximum PoE budget of 60W when powered by 802.3bt, can supply up to 30W per port and can be either desktop or wall-mounted.
Does NOT include any power, REQUIRES PoE
IMPORTANT: Know what you are buying:
This PoE switch does NOT come with a power source the switch must be paired up with a PoE devise (Not included) such as PoE Switch or PoE Injector. The switch is compatible with and accepts a 802.3af/at/bt PoE input.
Why would you use this PoE Switch / extender
Ethernet and PoE connections both restrict cable distances to 100 meters between network ports. To overcome this distance limit, network installers can simply connect an PoE Extender in-line with the Cat-5e or Cat-6 cable.
Or
You have up to 4 products such as cameras that require PoE but do not want to run 4 CAT cables from your existing far away switch, you can instead just run a single CAT cable from the existing switch to this 4 port switch / extender. Remembering that the existing switch must be PoE (802.3af/at/bt) or if the existing switch is not PoE then you would need to insert a PoE injector (802.3af/at/bt) on this CAT cable run
