Vitagen Senior Dog food can be given to dogs from the age of 7 years onwards.

However, this milestone differs according to breed, activity level and the general health of your dog. It is generally accepted that small breed dogs are considered to be senior from about 9 years of age whereas large breed dogs can be classified as senior from around 6 years of age.

As senior dogs do not have the same energy requirements they did as adult dogs, Vitagen senior dog food contains less fat. This is important as you do not want your senior companion to become overweight which can lead to a variety of health issues.
