Getting the Most from Your BM 54 Monitor

Measurement Best Practice:

• Consistency is Key: Measure twice daily (morning and evening) at the same times.
• Preparation: Rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Wait 30 minutes after eating, smoking, drinking, or exercising.
• Repeat Measurements: Allow 5 minutes between repeated measurements. Repeat if results seem unusual.
• Environment: Use the device at room temperature and keep it away from strong electromagnetic fields (e.g., mobile phones).

Proper Usage:

• Arm Selection: Consistently use the arm with the higher BP readings.
• Cuff Placement: Position the cuff 2-3 cm above the elbow, directly over the artery. Ensure clothing does not restrict blood flow.
• Posture: Sit upright with your back supported. Rest your arm on a solid surface with the cuff at heart level. Remain still and do not talk during the measurement.
