There comes a Saturday when one grid of food starts operating less like lunch and more like a roadside service station. One section is turning chops, another is watching chicken, braaibroodjies are waiting for clearance, and somebody keeps arriving with foil trays marked "please cook." That is Titan XL territory.

The BraaiBoss Titan XL Charcoal Braai gives you an 82 × 42cm cooking area for larger charcoal braais where the menu has several departments and every one of them expects attention.

Its adjustable charcoal height lets you raise the coals when stronger heat is needed or lower them when the food calls for a steadier finish. Instead of forcing every cut to accept the same conditions, you can adapt the fire to what is actually cooking.

The built-in thermometer gives you a visible temperature reading beneath the closed lid. Airflow dampers add another level of control by helping you regulate the oxygen reaching the charcoal as the cooking moves from fast heat to slower finishing.

Side shelves provide working space for trays, seasoning and utensils, while the bottom storage rack keeps charcoal, firelighters and other supplies below the cooking area. The result is a more organised setup for longer sessions, without treating the lawn as an overflow storeroom.

Once the coals have cooled, the removable ash tray makes ash collection and emptying more manageable. Wheels assist with positioning the braai before lighting, and the heat-resistant grip supports more comfortable handling during regular use.

At 152 × 62 × 110cm overall, with an 85cm cooking height, the Titan XL is a substantial charcoal setup designed for larger patios, backyards and occasions where the food arrives by category.

THE TITAN XL OPERATIONS MANUAL, WITHOUT THE CLIPBOARD

Fuel Type: Charcoal delivers the familiar fire and flavour behind South African outdoor cooking.

Cooking Area: 82 × 42cm - generous space for running several parts of the menu without stacking supper like luggage.

Adjustable Charcoal Height: Raises or lowers the coals to suit stronger searing heat or a calmer finish when the chicken requests an extension.

Built-In Thermometer: Displays the cooking temperature without making you interrupt proceedings for another lid-opening ceremony.

Airflow Dampers: Help regulate oxygen and charcoal heat as the cooking pace changes.

Side Shelves: Create practical landing zones for trays, spices and tools before the marinade starts occupying valuable real estate.

Removable Ash Tray: Helps contain and remove cooled ash instead of leaving you to conduct a full excavation below the fire.

Bottom Storage Rack: Keeps fuel and fire-starting supplies close enough to reach without abandoning your post.

Wheels: Assist with positioning this larger braai before the charcoal makes relocation a considerably warmer discussion.

Cooking Height: 85cm - provides a practical standing position for longer cooking sessions.

Overall Size: 152 × 62 × 110cm - a sizeable outdoor setup for larger cooking occasions and more spacious entertainment areas.

Heat-Resistant Grip: Supports more comfortable handling during regular charcoal-braai use.

DIY Assembly Required: Allow the parts to introduce themselves before the first full-scale production begins.

For Heritage Day spreads, year-end gatherings and Sundays where the serving bowls form a queue, the Titan XL gives you room to run the fire without letting the menu run you.
