The Dahua DH-XVR1B16-I WizSense XVR is a 16-channel hybrid CCTV recorder designed primarily for analogue HD security camera systems while also allowing additional IP camera channels over the network. It supports multiple camera technologies including HDCVI, AHD, TVI and CVBS, making it ideal for upgrading or replacing older DVR systems without rewiring existing coaxial cabling.
Unlike a PoE NVR, this unit does not power IP cameras directly - it records coax cameras and can add network cameras via your router or switch. This makes it perfect for mixed installations where existing analogue cameras need to be kept while gradually adding IP cameras.
WizSense AI features such as human and vehicle detection help reduce false alarms from rain, shadows or insects, ensuring you only receive meaningful alerts. Combined with H.265+ compression, the recorder saves storage space while maintaining high-quality video recording.
Remote viewing is supported through smartphone apps (Android & iOS), allowing live monitoring, playback and notifications from anywhere.
Important: This is a Hybrid XVR (DVR type recorder). It is not a PoE NVR and does not supply power to IP cameras.
