Vegan & Hypoallergenic Information

Vegan: Yes. Phenoxyethanol is typically produced synthetically through the reaction of ethylene oxide and phenol. It does not contain animal-derived components and is generally considered vegan.

Hypoallergenic: Generally yes, but not guaranteed. Phenoxyethanol is considered a gentle alternative to parabens and is commonly used in paraben-free formulations. However, like many cosmetic ingredients, it may cause irritation or sensitisation in some individuals, particularly those with eczema, although this is rare at concentrations of 1% or less.
